from the July 2005 issue

The ICAVL congratulates the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) on recently earning the prestigious accreditation for certifying bodies from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. Accreditation is granted through the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), the U.S. sponsoring organization to ISO. By achieving ANSI-ISO accreditation, ARDMS has become the internationally recognized standard in ultrasound credentialing.

"ANSI-ISO accreditation is truly one of the great accomplishments of ARDMS in its 30-year history. All ARDMS Registrants can now be proud that their credentials are recognized internationally in scope, and that ARDMS is recognized as a global organization," says Dale R. Cyr, MBA, CAE, chief executive officer and executive director of ARDMS.
