The ICAVL Standards for vascular laboratories are divided into seven areas. Please note that the following documents are The Standards for accreditation only. The Application for accreditation, along with all materials necessary to complete the accreditation process, must be ordered from the ICAVL.

All laboratories must complete the Organization section. Laboratories may apply in any combination of the other areas, as suited to the services offered by each laboratory. All seven sections of The Standards have been revised November 2007; the newest section, Screening, was developed and released in October 2005. The most recent version of all documents can be found here. These are the documents that laboratories must use when preparing for accreditation.

The Standards, listed below by category, are in PDF format and can be downloaded using Adobe Reader or Acrobat Reader. Please be patient as the download process may take a few minutes. Download time will vary, depending on the size of the file and the speed of your internet connection.
