ACCREDITATION |
AccreditationToday's health care organizations are held to very high levels of accountability - by peers, by the general public, and by Medicare and other payers. Accreditation is a voluntary process, yet an increasing number of reimbursement policies for imaging facilities have been enacted throughout the United States, by Medicare and other providers. Accreditation through the IAC is a means by which imaging laboratories can evaluate and demonstrate the level of patient care they provide. The IAC is comprised of five divisions, each ensuring high quality patient care and promoting health care within a specific medical specialty, including vascular, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology / nuclear medicine / PET, magnetic resonance, and computed tomography testing.
